Because of clubs withdrawing their players, Gordon Igesund has named an altered Bafana Bafana squad for the Cosafa Cup.

Kaizer Chiefs withdrew their players from the squad because of “fatigue”, while SuperSport United withdrew Kermit Erasmus and Ronwen Williams because of their match against English Premier League side Manchester City.
