Cape Town – The health of former president Nelson Mandela was weighing on Thursday on the visit by US President Barack Obama and an entourage of about 1 000 people to South Africa.
He is due in the country on Friday.
Mandela’s condition was on Thursday described by the Presidency as critical, but stable.
The anti-apartheid icon is being treated in Pretoria’s Medi-Clinic Heart Hospital, after he was admitted on 8 June with a recurring lung infection.

Yes when he went ti jail,when he was released, when he became the president, when he retired they were always there, one even fell in the water.. Today you say they disrespect your father, he is the father of the World, not your president but of the World.. The world love him. This man is irreplaceable, no one will ever be like him. We respect and adore him, he has a Godly character, spirit of forgivess is all he possess, the world wish him a speed recovery not ownership of him due to selfishness..
