Kimberley- Police are investigating an inquest for a death of an unknown man who was found in the veld at Earnestville, Kimberley yesterday. The man was found by a passer-by in the veld at approximately 15:30pm.
“The deceased male could be between the 50 and 60 years, he has short grey hair and beard, dark in complexion and is approximately 1.65 meters tall and slender- built” Lieutenant Sergio Kock said.
Police said the man was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue tracksuit pants, and black socks with no shoes. The police also found a black striped shirt, a navy blue beanie and a plastic bag with newspapers and a green jacket next to the deceased.
“The deceased had no visible injuries but an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death” Kock said.
The police request that information regarding the incident and the identification of the male be forwarded to Detective Constable Gwyneth Paulsen at 082 302 0407 or 08600 10 111 or sms to the SAPS crime line at 32211.
The investigation continues.
