Kimberley-The Provincial SAPS K9 unit in Kimberley is in dire need of police dogs.
They are appealing to the public to assist in donating the following breeds of dogs which will be trained in canine duties :
German Shepherds, Belgian Shepherds, Rotweilers and Border Collies. The dogs must be between the ages of 1and 2 years old. They must have a good ball drive and display some aggression.
“Suitable candidates will be tested at the K9 unit and if they meet the criteria, the owner may donate the animal to the police” colonel Priscilla Naidu said.
