Coligny-A man has been arrested by North West police after found being in possession of illicit cigarettes in Coligny. 

Police searched his shop and found illicit cigarettes worth R560 00.

“A bangladesh national was arrested and charged for dealing with illicit cigarettes” colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said.

The incident took palce this morning at around 08:00 am when North West police searched a Bangladesh shop-owned at Voortrekker street, in Colign and discover the the cigarettes.

He was arrested and will appear before Lichtenburg Magistrate Court on Monday.

Police investigations continue.
