Taung- A 71 year old man was allegedly burnt to death in Modutung village, near Taung.

North West police confirmed that an inquest docket has been launched after Kaelo Mosimanyana, 71 was found burnt to death in his bedroom by his grand-children.

“Police were called in the morning at 06:30am after he man was allegedly burnt to death. Police said Mosimanyana was last seen alive at 20h00 last night and he was staying with his grand-children and a family member” captain Adele Myburgh said.

The grand-daughter allegedly saw the bedroom belonging to Mosimanyana wide opened and she went to investigate police said.

Mosimanyana stay in a four-roomed house in Modutung village and was confirmed death.

 Police investigations continue and the cause of the fire is yet unknown.
