A Lehurutshe man sanctioned to 18 years in jail for Attempted Murder

Lehurutshe-A man was given 18 years imprisonment by Lehurutshe Magistrate court after he was charged for attempted murder.

Itumeleng Kennedy Thibudi,22 from gopane village near Lehurutshe was arrested back then by Lehurutshe police after he stabbed Richard Mothei,28 five times.

“A man was subsequently arrested in 2010 after he had an argument with Mothei” captain Aafje Botma said.

Police said after the argument between the two, Mothei left for wedding.

“According to reports,Thibudi followed Mothei to a wedding and bludgeoned him” police said.

Richard Mothei was rushed to Mahikeng Provincial Hospital for medical attention.

A Gopane village-born man appeared briefly before Lehurustshe Magistrate court on 26 March 2013 and was sanctioned to 18 years in jail for attempted murder.
