Lomanyaneng:  Police arrested a 21-year-old suspect for allegedly killing a man on Friday at about 23:30 North West police. 

“The incident occurred at a local tavern in Lomanyaneng Village. It is alleged that the suspect was involved in a physical fight with the deceased’s friend” captain Amanda Funani said. 

It is further alleged that the victim tried to intervene and stop the fight said police.  

“According to information received, the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife on the chest” she said. 

A 21 year-old man was transported to Mahikeng Provincial Hospital where he allegedly died on arrival. The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear before Mmabatho Magistrate Court on Monday.
