Ottoshoop- A 50 year-old businessman robbed and hijacked while at home. North West police are investigating a case of robbery and hijacking after robbers pounced on a businessman.

It is alleged that a 50 year-old man was sitting at home with his wife when suspects entered the house police said.

“Police were called at Grootvlei farm after four supects entered the house of businessman and robbed him” Emelda Setlhako said.

“A 50 year-old man was sitting with his family and friends when four suspects entered the house and demand cash” She said.

The suspects allegedly robbed the couple their cellphones and made way with Toyota Yaris belonging to the victim.

The victims were held at gunpoint and two shots were fired.  

“He has been shot on a shoulder and neck and was rushed to Victoria hospital where he was treated for gunshot” Setlhako said.

“The victim’s car was later found abandoned at Buurmansdrift” She continues.

No one has been arrested yet and police are looking for suspects who are still at large.
