Meanwhile miners gathered at Swartklip mine in groups. The management of the mine are considering closing the mine temporarily as these groups of people are intimidating mineworkers who are reporting on  duty.

Striking miners allegedly threatening other fellow miners that if they continue to go to work,they will be attacked at their residential area.

They also want to stop mine operations.  

“Police are at the mine monitoring the situation and ensuring that mineworkers on duty are not being attacked” Brigadier Ngubane said.

“Today at Khuseleka shaft, 4000 mineworkers from Zakhele, Entabeni and Mfidikwe gathered at Khuseleka mine. Mineworkers barricaded roads with stones and tree branches. Their leaders spoke with them and they dispersed peacefully” He said.

No injuries were reported.
