The body of another Inkhata Freedom Party (IFP) member was found today in KwaZulu-Natal. Leader of the IFP, in Oshabeni, Bongani Lushaba, was allegedly killed in a drive by shooting in the area.
Lushaba was also the chairperson of the local taxi association on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. Family spokesperson, Sfundo Ngwane, says Lushaba’s bullet riddled body was found lying in on the side of the road after been shot by an unknown assailant driving a blue vehicle.
Over the weekend, another IFP councillor’s body was found in KZN. Kwa Mashu councillor, Themba Xulu’s bullet riddled body was found on Sunday morning in a sugar plantation at Inanda Tea Estate, north of Durban. The body of a policeman was found next to him.
Police believe that Xulu was murdered on Friday evening shortly after his abduction. He was abducted by unknown people posing as police men from the KwaMashu Men’s Hostel.
