Delareyville- The North West Police arrested five(5) suspects on Thursday for illegally being in possession of a rhino horn. 

Police received information that a blue Toyota Corolla was travelling on the Madibogo road towards Delareyville and that the suspects had a rhino horn in their possession.

“The police reacted swiftly and after tracing the suspicious vehicle, they pulled a blue Toyota  Corolla off the road with five occupants inside the car” Brigadier Ngubane said.

“The suspects were about to enter Delareyville (between extention 7 and 8). The vehicle was searched and a rhino horn, weighing 4,85 kg, was found and seized” he yelled.

All five occupants were arrested and will appear before the Delareyville Magistrate Court on Monday.

The suspects are two females aged 25 & 39 and three males, aged 33, 40 and 68.
