Johannesburg – Six people, including a 4-month-old baby, were killed in a head-on collision near Mthatha on Saturday, Eastern Cape police said.
Nine others were injured and taken to hospital, said spokesperson Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela.
He said speeding was believed to be the cause of the crash.
“Investigations indicate that the driver of a bakkie lost control of the vehicle, veered from his lane and collided with [another vehicle].”
