Rustenburg- Another possible strike is looming at Anglo Platinum Mines in Rustenburg.

According to information received, the workers were egaged in talks during the weekend and decided to go on illegal strike.

“The meeting was held at Jabula shaft during the weekend and we agreed to go on illegal strike” said our mole.

It seems the “Marikana massacre” prompted the situation around mine workers across the country as we saw many unrest in different mines in the past two weeks.

“The same thing that caused de strike at Marikana,the RDO’s wants R12 500,the meeting was held this weekend at Jabula shaft and all agreed to go on with illegal strike.When we knocked-off yesterday, there was a Notice at Bathopele Mine informing employees that they will be protected if they don’t join the strike” our mole yelled.

According to reports, the workers might down tools tomorrow and embark on ilegal strike.

We will keep you posted and our attempt to get the Batho Pele respond proved futile.
