MAHIKENG:
Police in Mahikeng are investigating a case of rape that happened on Saturday at about 17:40 at Unit 6 in Mmabatho. It is alleged that a 47 year old woman who was on her way home was confronted by the suspect who grabbed and dragged her to his place where he raped her. The suspect fled the scene and police are investigating.
OTTOSDAL:
On 8 September 2012, police in Ottosdal arrested one of the nine suspects who allegedly assaulted and stabbed a 39 year old suspect when he and his niece were from a night vigil in Letsopa, a township in Ottosdal. It is alleged that one suspect know to the victim stopped in front of the victim and denied him from passing, the suspect immediately stabbed the victim with a knife in a chest. When the suspect tried to fight back all the suspects assaulted the victim with an axe, fists and kicked him. They then robbed him an undisclosed amount of cash before they fled the place. Other suspects are still at large and police are investigating.
RUSTENBURG:
On Saturday morning at about 09:25, three unknown suspects robbed a phone shop in Rustenburg an undisclosed amount of money and different make of cell phones. It is alleged that the complainant and her co workers were in a shop when the suspects entered and pretended to be customers. They threatened victims with firearms and robbed them. They fled the scene on foot and are still at large. Police are investigating.
HARTEBEESPOORTDAM:Police in Hartebeespoortdam are searching for a 55 year old Mike Dickson from 41 Cadoza Street, Westene in Johannesburg. Dickson was reported missing on Friday, 7 September 2012 at the Hartebeespoortdam police station after he came with his cousin from Johannesburg to Hartebeespoortdam on allegations that he got a job in the area. It is alleged that he climbed the cable car, and came down but was never seen thereafter. According to information he was last seen wearing a blue cap, beige shirt, a pair of jeans and blue sneakers.
