Minister of Arts and Culture, Mr.Paul Mashatile and North West Premier, Mme Thandi Modise are to launch the programme for Nelson Mandela Month. The event will take place on Tuesday, 10 July 2012 outside Zeerust, in the North West Province.
On 18 July 2012, South Africa and the international community will once again unite in celebrating Nelson Mandela. Mandela Day recognizes Madiba’s commitment to human rights, conflict resolution and reconciliation. The official Mandela day celebration will be held at the Dinokana Sports Ground, Ramotshere Moilwa Municipality, Zeerust, North West Province, under the theme “Working together to create a caring and proud society.”
We encourage all South Africans to support the various activities held to commemorate Mandela month and to also dedicate 67 minutes of their time to community work.

(Take Zeerust, Gabarone Rd – at 26 km from Zeerust turn right to Enselberg turnoff –from about 510m from the turn off you will find the site)
Members of the media are requested to gather at the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality Building, cnr President and Coetzee Street, Zeerust at 10:00 for transport to the venue.
