Premier Soccer League CEO, Stan Mathews has resigned and this was confirmed today during Media Conference held today at the Premier Soccer League Headquaters.
Mathews is going back to Supersport. This was outlined by PSL and Orlando Pirates chairman, Dr Ivin ” Iron Duke” Khoza.
We would like to wish Mr Mathews all the best on his future endeavors and we were very privileged to have a person of his calibre. Cambridge Mokonyane will be an acting CEO until the post is filled in two to three weeks” He said.
Mathews also shared the same sentiments and appreciated the time given to him to act as a CEO of a local soccer body.
” I’m very to have had the opportunity to serve the league” He said.
Even though it is unclear what prompted the buoyed administrator to resign, the unconfirmed reports says the ironed-fist administration given out by the chairman might be the reason lead Mathews to resignation.
Mathews is the third CEO to resign and we will keep you posted as the truth unfolding.
