Cannabis remains the drug of choice around the world, this is one of the key findings of the United Nations World Drug Report 2012. The report was released in Pretoria today.
 
South Africa’s drug usage has largely stabilised, with a slight increase in the use of cannabis. Over 4% of South Africans smoked cannabis at least once in 2012, this is a slight increase from the previous year, while the use of Amphetamine Type Stimulants is on the decrease, the use of heroin and cocaine has stabilised.
