SAFA OFFICIALS DIVIDED REGARDING BAFANA COACH!!!

South African Football Association is expected to annouce soon who should take over the reigns as Bafana coach. The football organisation parted ways with former Bafana coach last month after poor display Bafana presented during a 1-all draw against FIFA less-ranking, against Ethopia during World Cup Qualifiers that took place a month agao in Rustenburg.

Now the new twist has come to the fore that certain officials want Moroka Swallows coach, Gordon Igesund to take over while others want  current interim coach, Steve Komphela to countinue.

This might delay the process as the soccer body need to decide and get over it.

SAFA Head of Communication, Dominic Chimhavi said the are some issues that need to be sorted out and cannot deny nor agree that there are certain division regarding the Bafana coach.

” I cannot tell if there is any division regarding who should take over and we have agreed that the coach who will take over will not receive the same amount we offered to previous coaches. The inflation has changed and also the market” he said.

There are rumours that go around saying the coach that will be hired will nort receive the same amount of salary the previous coach received which it was ranged to R850 000, but will only be paid R500 000.

The former coach, Pitso Mosimane is rumoured to taking the soccer body to court for unfair dismissal and want to be paid all the money was entittled to until his contract come to an end. Pitso Mosimane believed to be earning R8000 000 and he contract was due until 2014.

Which if he would have seen his contract, we will have received close to whopping R24 Millions.

Neighbour killed for ‘better view’

A Canadian serial killer was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday for bludgeoning his two former wives to death with a rock, and killing his neighbour for her apartment with “a better view.”

Former diner dishwasher Camille Cleroux, 58, admitted to killing his ex-wives Lise Roy and Jean Rock and neighbour Paula Leclair over a two decade period beginning in 1990, and burying all three women in shallow graves.

R100K reward after manager killed


IOL spar reward

The Spar supermarket group has placed a full-page advertisement in several newspapers, offering a R100 000 reward for information on the robbers who shot dead the manager of the Spar in Jukskei Park on June 10.

The crime was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV), as was another robbery at a Melville liquor shop on June 3. It appeared that the robberies were perpetrated by the same gang, according to the police.

Fine for ‘not moving over’ squashed

A Cape Town motorist who was fined R1000 for not moving out the way of a “ghost squad” car was vindicated in the Parow Municipal Court, it was reported on Wednesday.

Magistrate Phakama Madinda found on Tuesday that the officer who issued the fine had abused his power and motorist Steven Taylor, 29, was acquitted, the Cape Times reported.

Human Settlements Minister and presidential hopeful Tokyo Sexwale suffered a humiliating defeat when delegates at the ANC policy conference rejected him, the City Press reported on its website on Tuesday.

In the opening session of the conference, Sexwale intervened in a discussion on conference rules led by ANC chairwoman Baleka Mbete.

Zuma’s new youth jobs plan gets support

ANC president Jacob Zuma said yesterday that, with unemployment hitting record levels, South Africa needs a “job-seekers’ grant”.

Speaking at the party’s national policy conference, Zuma said all its members should debate policy reforms that would tackle the “triple threat” of inequality, poverty and unemployment, “especially among the youth”.

Taxi driver who defaced ‘The Spear’ fired: report

The Limpopo man accused of defacing ‘The Spear’ painting has been fired, according to a report on Wednesday.

His now-former employer Mphaphi Machipi told the Sowetan that Louis Mabokela was on sick leave when he defaced the painting.

Mabokela, 25, worked as a taxi driver in Limpopo.

“I was surprised to see Mabokela [on television] defacing the painting of President Jacob Zuma in Johannesburg, while he had told me he was around and not well,” said Machipi.

SA at boiling point, Zuma warns ANC


SOUTH Africa has reached boiling point and needs radical policy changes to quell the rising anger of ordinary citizens.

Explaining his backing of the hotly debated “second transition” policy proposal, President Jacob Zuma said yesterday that the ANC could no longer sit back and watch its people live in squalor.

Zuma, now three years in office, confessed to sleepless nights after seeing extreme poverty.
