Katlego Mphela is more than up for the challenge of reclaiming his starting berth at Mamelodi Sundowns.  

Bafana Bafana’s first-choice striker had an indifferent 2011/12 campaign, especially in the second half of the season when he found himself on the bench playing second fiddle to Zimbabwean Nyasha Mushekwi.
 
His hopes of a quick return to the starting XI have been dealt a few blows in the last few days – he underwent knee surgery earlier this week, while The Brazilians have also added two more strikers to their roster in the form of Edward Manqele and Emmanuel Baffour.
 
However, Binkin says Mphela is aware of the challenges he faces and is more than ready to confront them.
