ANOTHER LENYORA FROM TAUNG, KISS MAKING IT BIGGER AND BETTER!!!!

Music is an art that entertain and teaches simultaneously. Musicians use it as a tool of communication.
We chat with  Tlhaloganyo Thagakane AKA kISS Wa le yeah., a 29 year-old rapper who uses his music to tackle social issues and motivate youth!!!
 
THE HUMBLE BEGINNING- WHERE IT ALL STARTED?
His ability to play with words is able to capture the attention of the crowd and spread the message of hope.
‘I wanna put myself on the map and be a recognised rapper from Taung, there are whole lot of possibities, everything is possible” he stated
 
His musical journey dated back in decade.
“I started writing music shortly after I finished my matric back in 2002, and I started performing at poetry session in Kleksdorp” he said.
 
The energetic rapper who was born and bred in Leshobo in Mokgareng, appoximately 3 km away from Taung.
 
Although his peers take music as a career, he have a different idea.
 
“To me music, is more than a hobby and i take it very it seriously. I cannot say is a career as i have a fulltime job” Tlhaloganyo said. 
 
Grew up listening to music he admit is so hard to pin-point few influences, but on that long list there is Bafitlhile, Tkzee and Nas
                                                     
TRIAL AND TRIBULATION
He admited that road was not all rosy and smooth, he had his fair chances of hardships and state of doubts.
 
“I wont say i have reached the stardom yet, on this road there are lot of challenges like making beats, recording and platform to showcase your talent” said buoyed rapper”.
 
KISS continues “There is also lots of empty promises and deceit. If it was easy I would’ve realised my first project in 2005 or 2008” he said.
 
BOPAKI “THE WINNING PROJECT”
 
His debut album Bopaki “the winning project” will be finished in July.
 
“I call it Bopaki “The winning project” because I had to come up with an evidence of what i’ve been doing and I expect it to put me on another level as it is my first album” he stated.
 
He worked with Aylo of Purple beats record in Cape Town and different producers include the likes of his boys Bassman El of So Africa from his home village, T cool of Stroke 5 and Matric from Cape Town.
 
” I will be performing around Cape Town in a Hip-Hop scene and we are also planning to have radio interviews to promote the album” he outlined.
