We chat with the 19 years old Mmoloki Moleboge AKA Magesta who is a prove that passion,hardwork and talent is what matters in the music industry which sometimes consired to be gruel. “Hip hop is my destiny,I dont see myself doing any other genre” Hyper-active Magesta said!!!

He is the member of Tsedikgolo,a motswako group that started 4 years ago

“I wanna see myself being the role model to others especialy to those who are in rural areas who dont believe in themselves” he said

THE BEGINNIN OF A PROMISING JOURNEY
“I developed love for music at a very young age and I was inspired by the likes of Tuks Senganga,HHP and others,who were the kings of motswako music at that time”said the shy young rapper.

Late in 2008 he started a group by the name of Tsedikgolo together with friends who is now becoming the household name in the game.

‘We shared stage with 2 clap who is featured on the upcoming Tuks senganga’s album”

he said

Tsedikgolo include other promising rappers such as Sissy girl,Maestro and Lyncon who is also their producer.

THE POWER OF EDUCATION
Magesta is a first year student at Northwest University-Mafikeng Campus.He knows the power of education in one’s life.

The reason he opt to persue his studies after finishing matric, is because he know that things might not workout the way he planned and he wil need something to fall back on.

 

“I decided to study because in music you might not know what will happen next.There is no guarantees and I dont wanna be like other artists who die poor” Magesta outlined.

South Africa have a history of artists who die pauper irrespective of how famous they used to be.

 

The likes of Brenda Fassie,Nana Coyote,Umangi and the latest to add on that list is Brown Dash who past away weeks ago.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES AND MOVING FORWARD
He admitted that this road wasn’t all easy and there were time when people written him off.

 

“Kgale bare batla is an answer to those who lost hope in us to those who thought we will never bounce back” he said.

 

 Kgale ba re batla is their last single which will be on their upcoming mixtape.

 

Their 365 mix tape wil be realised at the end of June this year.

 

“Hopefully we wil launch our mixtape at the end of June this year and we are busy finalising couple of things” Magesta said.
