Following the incident on Wednesday at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban, it seems the injury suffered by Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs number one goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune was not that serious as it may seems.

Khune clashed with Golden Arrows player Thamsanqa Gabuza during their goalless draw in a league encounter last Wednesday.

Apparently there was no doctor on the scene and the tretcher was too heavy for the spine and neck injuries. And thids left Kaizer Chiefs coach,Vladimir Vermezovic  foaming and blasted the Premier Soccer League for not having safety measures in place.

“Khune will be out for ten days after suffering a moderate concussion, after this case in England of (Fabrice Muamba) you would expect things to be better. But there was no oxygen mask(for Khune) and no doctor at the stadium except for our doctor. It could have been worse,at the end of the day we have to be very careful with players” he said.

Kaizer Chiefs coach, also outline the reason of having safety measures in place”We must always be one step in front in terms of safety for the players in the field”
