MODIMOLLE MONSTER MURDER CO-ACCUSED WILL APPLY FOR BAIL!!!

MODIMOLLE- Taung DailyNews has learned that the application of the murder co-accused known as “Modimolle Moster” will be opposed in court by National Prosecuting Authorities(NPA) after they filed for a bail applications.

The three men were arrested after they allegedly helped Johan Kortze, 50 in a crime he committed. Johan Kotze is accused of killing his step-son and ordered three men to took a turn on raping his enstranged wife on gun point.

Mmapuru Peter Mohlako,Andries Sithole and Sello Frans Mphaka were arrested within days after they disappeared. And other reports show that the main accused, Johan Kortze opted to stay behind bars with no bail application

However, NPA Mthunzi Mhanga said they are very prepared to oppose any bail applications from the accused as they seen as threat to the community. “There is a new legal representative who indicated that they will apply for a bail.As the state,we will oppose the application, we believe they face serious charges that induced a state of shock within the community” he said.

 

WESTERN CAPE TO REDUCE JUVENILE CENTRES IN THE PROVINCE!!!

Western Cape Social Development MEC Albert Fritz said on tuesday that Westertn Cape juvenile prisons centres need to be reduce as this does not help children. He said most children that comes out of the centres does not come out reformed in anyway.

He explain that those who are convicted for minor offences will have to be placed in other community centres.”I will now work towards having only one facility in the WC for children that have been sentenced” he said.

South African prisons experience a backlog recently because of overloaded prisoners and that really hit taxpayers hard in the pocket and derail some developments in the country because of the money used to maintain the prisoners.

COSATU TO PROBE METRORAIL MOVE……!!!!

Cosatu promise to protest against Metrorail’s plans of hiking the fares on the 01April this year. And the alliance said the cannot fold their hands while the situation unfold and called the increase exorbitant.

Both Cosatu and Transnet ministry asked an urgent meeting with The passenger rail to discuss the issue.

“This is totally unacceptable. The increases should be in line with the inflation rate and people should be given atleast a month so they adjust their budgets accordingly” Cosatu Tony Ehrenreich said.
